Ohio State men’s basketball has its first and second commitments of its 2027 recruiting class.
On Thursday, Deng Ngor, a four-star forward from Fort Erie, Ontario, announced his commitment to play for the Buckeyes.
A day later, Jaxson Davis, a four-star guard from Kansas City, Kansas, verbally committed to Ohio State.
Ngor, who stands at? 6-foot-8, plays for Fort Erie International Academy in his hometown of Fort Erie, Ontario. Ngor is ranked the No. 55 player in the 2027 class by 247Sports.
Ngor represented Canada at the FIBA U18 AmeriCup this summer, helping the team win the gold medal over the United States. Ngor scored 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting while adding three steals and two rebounds in Canada’s 67-65 gold medal game victory in June.
Davis, a 6-foot point guard, is a two-time Illinois Mr. Basketball winner. Davis will play for his senior season at Monarch Academy, in Kansas City, Kansas. He is the No. 1 ranked player in Kansas and the No. 39 ranked player overall in the 2027 class by 247Sports.
Ngor and Davis each visited Ohio State during the Buckeyes’ football home opener against Ball State Sept. 5. The two commitments currently gives Ohio State the fifth ranked 2027 recruiting class.
