For the second straight year, four Buckeyes were selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.?Wide receiver Carnell Tate, linebacker Arvell Reese, linebacker Sonny Styles and safety Caleb Downs all were drafted within the first 11 picks of the 2026 NFL Draft Thursday night.
The trend of Ohio State players being drafted continued throughout the remaining six rounds over the next two days.

Kayden McDonald –?
Former Ohio State defensive lineman Kayden McDonald was drafted by the Houston Texans with the No. 36 pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.?
McDonald, who was projected to be a first round pick on Thursday, was one of two players who attended the draft in Pittsburgh in the green room that was not selected in the first round, along with Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood.?
The 6-foot-3, 326 pound lineman played for the Buckeyes for three seasons, shining in his final year.?
In 2025, McDonald earned numerous awards including unanimous first-team AP All-American, first-team all-Big Ten and Big Ten defensive lineman of the year. McDonald racked up 65 total tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles on the season.
Max Klare –
Former Ohio State tight end Max Klare was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the No. 61 pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Klare played in all 14 games and started 11 times in the one season he was with the Buckeyes, after transferring from Purdue.
Klare ranked third on the team in both receptions, with 43, and receiving yards, with 448. He averaged 10.4 yards per reception and scored touchdowns against Ohio University and Rutgers.
He leaves his collegiate career as a first-team all-Big Ten honoree in 2025 with Ohio State and third-team all-Big Ten recipient in 2024 while at Purdue.
With a total of 32 career games played, 116 receptions, and six touchdowns, Klare had one year of eligibility left but opted to declare for the 2026 NFL draft.??
Davison Igbinosun –?
Former Ohio State cornerback Davison Igbinosun was drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the No. 62 pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft.?
The 6-foot-2 cornerback served as a key piece in Ohio State’s secondary, as he started 42 of 43 games across three seasons with the Buckeyes.
Igbinosun was a four-star recruit out of high school and the number one-ranked player in New Jersey in the 2022 recruiting class.?
The Union, New Jersey native committed to Ole Miss and played for the Rebels for one season before transferring to Ohio State for the remainder of his collegiate career.?
Igbinosun earned second-team All-Big Ten honors in his 2025 campaign with the Buckeyes, tallying a team-high six pass deflections and two interceptions. He was also named honorable mention All-Big Ten in his sophomore and junior seasons.
In Ohio State’s 27-9 win over Michigan on Nov. 29, Igbinosun made an interception in the fourth quarter to seal the game and snap the Buckeyes’ four-game losing streak to the Wolverines.
Will Kacmarek –
Former Ohio State tight end Will Kacmarek was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 87th pick in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
In his final collegiate season, the 6-foot-6 tight end caught 15 receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Kacmarek often served as a reliable pass option in short-yardage situations and two tight-end sets.
A transfer from Ohio University, Kacmarek brought experience and physicality in his two seasons with the Buckeyes’ offense, making most of his impact as a blocker in the run game.
Across his five season college career, he tallied 65 receptions for 761 yards and four touchdowns.
Lorenzo Styles Jr. –
Lorenzo Styles Jr. came off the board as the 172nd pick of the 2026 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints.
Styles, who began his college career as a wide receiver at Notre Dame, made the switch to defensive back and quickly developed into a versatile option for the Buckeyes in his three seasons at Ohio State.?
In 2025, he totaled 30 tackles, one interception and three pass breakups, demonstrating his ability to impact both the run and pass game.?
Styles also contributed on special teams, scoring a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown in a 48-10 win over UCLA on Nov. 15.
Styles’ versatility and athleticism gives him a chance to earn snaps on Sundays in different defensive looks and on special teams.
Caden Curry –
Former Ohio State defensive end Caden Curry was selected by the Indianapolis Colts with? the 214th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Playing four seasons with Ohio State, the defensive end took part in 54 games with 14 starts—all coming from his senior season in 2025.
Last season, Curry took home first-team All-American honors from On3 and first-team all-Big Ten Conference honors recording 66 tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss and 11 quarterback sacks.
Curry also received second-team All-America honors by the American Football Coaches Association ?and Walter Camp and third-team All-America honors by the Associated Press. Curry finished his Buckeye career with 111 tackles, 25.0 tackles for loss and 15 sacks while also contributing to special teams.
Born in Indiana, Curry was named Mr. Football at defensive line by the Indiana Football Coaches Association in high school, was a top-100 national recruit and the No. 3 overall prospect in the state going into college.
Ethan Onianwa –
Former Ohio State offensive lineman Ethan Onianwa was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the 231st pick in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Onianwa, who transferred from Rice last year, appeared in all 14 games for the Buckeyes and was a crucial depth piece on the offensive line.
At Rice, the 6-foot-7, 331 pound tackle started 25 consecutive games at right tackle in 2022 and 2023. He then moved to right tackle in 2024, where he started in every game he played in.
A native of Katy, Texas, Onianwa was a three-year starter at Cinco Ranch High School and was a member of the Houston Chronicle Top 100 high school football prospects list as a senior.
