Seven Frozen Four appearances, two national championships and nearly 11 years at the core of one of the country’s top-ranked women’s ice hockey programs.?
Now, Ohio State women’s ice hockey head coach Nadine Muzerall gets to add another milestone to her coaching career—this time with her home country.?
Muzerall has been named Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Under-18 Team head coach for 2026-27.?
An Ontario native, Muzerall will lead her homeland in the 2027 International Ice Hockey Federation U18 Women’s World Championship on Jan. 8-16, 2027 in Ostrava, Czechia.?
The five-time Western College Hockey Association’s Coach of the Year worked on Hockey Canada’s staff in 2017 with the U22 team for the Nations Cup, and in 2016 for the U18 Rivalry Series and National Women’s Development Team.??
Prior to Muzerall’s tenure at Ohio State, the Buckeyes had winning records in six of the program’s 17 seasons. As Muzerall enters her 11th year as Ohio State’s head coach, she has a record of 260-86-22 for a career win percentage of .736.?
Muzerall has also coached 28 Professional Women’s Hockey League draft picks, including six that were selected in the 2026 PWHL draft in June.??
In March, Muzerall signed a five-year contract extension with Ohio State, which will keep her under contract with the Buckeyes through the 2033-34 season.
